There’s something special about sending a holiday postcard to somebody you love. Especially if that somebody is yourself! I just found a postcard I sent myself from India back in 1984. I was on a “year off” and had just bought a pair of made-to-measure shoes.
“Reminder to self. These are the best shoes you will ever have. Start a business back home and become the best shoe business in the world. Love, Nick”
I did start a made-to-measure shoe business. It was an unmitigated disaster. Shoes for pixies and clowns - not a single pair fit.
So, I started a shirt business instead.
