I’m not quite as old as the 16th century, but when I was a boy, I loved nothing more than learning about the Tudors. The ruffs! The velvet! The bells and whistles! Beautiful, but so cumbersome, I’m not sure how people moved around.
Fast forward to 1986 when I started Charles Tyrwhitt. I was more concerned with versatility, practicality and value... with a little Tudor refinement built in. Fast forward even more, and it’s our 40th birthday!
There have been challenges and curveballs, but through it all, the team at Tyrwhitt have always tried to make it easy for men to dress well, no matter what the dress code or event. It’s that simple.
